I have stayed at this beautiful Inn several times and always find the Inn Keepers of the Rustic Gate to be warm and welcoming. The food is always healthy, fresh and delicious, and Sharon, the resident Chef, can usually tell you where most of the ingredients came from within a 50 mile radius. The grounds are simply beautiful for a hike, or a stroll around the lake or pond, or you can just enjoy the views from the rockers on the front or back porches. There is also a beautiful meditation loft in the highest room of the Inn. There are yoga and meditation accessories and you get a 360 degree view of the beautiful land surrounding this place. Every time I've gone up there I've got to enjoy some luxurious solitude. The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds are very comfy, and having your own bathroom really makes this more of a upscale hotel than a bed and breakfast. The only difference is you get the beauty, the hospitality and the gourmet food of the best bed and breakfast in Michigan. Ferris parents are lucky to have this little gem nearby!
