Brought my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 in for a front end alignment. Told the service writer that my left front tire was wearing on the outer edge. I also told him that i believed it was because the Camber and Caster where out of adjustment. But was NOT informed that those adjustments are NOT included in their "Front End Alignment" for $53. Then after waiting a little while, he came out to inform me that to properly due the "alignment" I was now going to pay almost double the price to do the Camber and Caster. I have been in the Automotive field for a few year an a Front End Alignment INCLUDED the three key areas ( toe, camber, and caster). I will absolutely not bring any of my GM vehicles back to this dealer.
Over-priced. An independent shop is equal or better quality at a lower price. It was a bother for them to share results of my multi-point inspection with me on this and a previous visit. "If there was a problem, I would have told you." I don't appreciate this cocky attitude or being a bother to provide the report. Not likely to recommend. Not likely to return for service.
I had always been satisfied previously. But the last 2 times I’ve been in for routine oil change and tire rotation I’ve been told addition service was due. My Equinox has about 67,000 and they said it was due for a coolant change and flush. With the tire rotation and oil change at 49.95 my bill was over $225.00. The last time I was in for the routine oil and tire work they said a full transmission fluid change was due. That bill was over $330.00. When I got home and spoke to a mechanic friend and got out my service manual these services aren’t due until 100,000 miles. I feel pretty disappointed that I can’t trust what they tell me. I’ll still go to this dealership because I have a extended warranty but only for the oil change and tire rotation.
The service department was very friendly and helpful. I had been getting a warning that one tire was low, and we kept adding air but the warning would come back. They found a nail puncture when they rotated the tires, so they patched it. I dropped the car off on my way to work, and they were done with it by 9:30. I love that they offer shuttle service to take me to work and pick me up when my car is ready.
