I went in for a Tdap shot and they were super quick and really friendly. It wasn't super expensive either.

Good for a tetnis shot and physical, a bit old school but it got the job done.

I went to Birkam Health Center on Friday because my sinuses were acting up and I felt as if I was starting to get strep throat, so I wanted to get it checked. The doctor didn't seem to know what he was talking about when doing my check-up and seemed confused by the symptoms I was experiencing, as if he's never had clients with blurred vision or headaches. He asked a lot of questions but said he didn't know what I had. How does a doctor not know?? It's not even like he suggested it might just be my allergies or a little cold; he gave me no feedback whatsoever besides stating I have a lazy eye (which I don't) and to expect a call Monday to see whether my strep-throat test comes back positive or negative. Besides that, it was to my knowledge that student health care was part of the tuition and free to students for doctor visits. It wasn't until AFTER my check-up that I was told I had to pay for my visit. Assuming it would only be a few dollars, they then tell me it's going to cost $74 and I wasn't given medication or anything! I was beside myself and asked how it costs that much. The lady at the desk said originally a visit costs $104 but students get 40%, reducing the price to $62 plus another $12. She didn't even tell me what the other $12 was for, only that my total was $74. I didn't know what to say so I just kind of agreed and she told me it would be charged to my student account. Now I check my account and see that the health center charged me not $74, but $86. An extra $12 that I was never told about nor agreed to be charged to my account. Very, very unhappy with my visit and I will be filing a complaint tomorrow at the Health Center personally!!!

After having a sore throat for week to where I can barely eat or sleep, and having previously had strep throat 4 times, I went to Birkam to get checked out and get a prescription. Just paid $80 for some "nurse" to tell me, "Why don't you just try some ibuprofen." Do NOT go here.

As a student, there's a saying "Don't go to Birkam, they'll call it cancer and give you a prescription for tylenol". Seriously though, they misdiagnosed all of my friends within the last two years, making them have to deal with ER trips a night or two later because they can't breath.
